Alot of homeowners probably don't know that Freddie Mac is indeed the owner OR guarantor of the loan. Why does Freddie Mac make this so private? I did alot of research to find where they placed my loan-- and sure enough , somehow Freddie Mac got its grubby hands on it and it is a private label. But now, since the refinance program came out-- I am finding out that someone sold the loan! Thus, I won't be able to refinance to a fixed and lower rate. Something isn't right.
