After holding steady for roughly two weeks, mortgage rates moved higher on renewed inflationary worries, mortgage financier Freddie Mac said today in its weekly mortgage rate survey.

The benchmark 30-year fixed-rate mortgage climbed to 6.03 percent for the week ending April 24, up from 5.88 percent last week, while the 15-year rose to 5.62 percent from 5.40 percent.

Adjustable-rate mortgages weren’t exempt from the upward pressure, with the 5/1 hybrid moving to 5.68 percent from 5.48 percent and the one-year rising to 5.29 percent from 5.10 percent.

A year ago, the 30-year averaged 6.16 percent, the 15-year 5.87 percent, the 5/1 5.88 percent, and the one-year 5.43 percent.
